Rotation Programs at Electric Boat

One of the benefits of working at Electric Boat is the opportunity to experience a variety of work assignments. After some time spent on the job, we provide two programs that allow you to experience other positions at our company.

Rotation for Technical Development

The purpose of the Rotation for Technical Development Program is to provide you with the opportunity to broaden your technical knowledge. The Rotation Program offers engineers the unique opportunity to gain work experience in areas other than their home departments and groups. In addition to gaining a new perspective, rotation assignments serve as a vehicle for meeting people, establishing key job-related contacts, and developing interpersonal relationships.

Rotation for Professional Development

This program offers engineers the opportunity to expand their professional development skills to include working in many different areas in the Electric Boat organization. Examples of possible rotations can include but are not limited to Operations, Planning, Finance, Program Office and Human Resources. The Rotation for Professional Development program was designed to offer candidates the opportunity to expand their skills and knowledge in leading a team, adding to their technical expertise and to work on developing additional core competencies that are required to become successful leaders. Candidates must be highly motivated, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to accomplish multiple tasks with minimum guidance.
